ROTARY MARSHES AT BRANT'S CREEK

Kelowna, B.C.

Catherine Berris Associates Inc. 1996

Brandt’s Creek enters Okanagan Lake just east of the town centre of Kelowna . The creek mouth had been filled in over many years and was a channelized ditch. Initiated by the Rotary Club, the purpose of this project was to ensure that there is a natural “sanctuary” space along a waterfront. This was accomplished by establishing a wetland with trails, wildlife structures, and planting to attract birds.
