Hot Springs Road, Harrison Hot Springs, BC

Robert Powers, MAIBC, BCSLA - 2009

In 2007, Craven / Huston / Powers Architects began development of a multi-phase capital plan for redevelopment of Harrison Hot Springs waterfront, and the Harrison Lake Plaza represents the first phase of this initiative. Located at the end of Harrison Hot Springs Road, the plaza provides a terminus to the road into town, with the lake as a dramatic backdrop. The space features a full-scale motif of Harrison Lake and its islands cast in coloured glass, as well as a timber shade structure constructed with native Douglas Fir.
