This set of Urban Design Guidelines has been created to provide a tool that developers and district staff can use to achieve specified design objectives, a basis for uniform and consistent review of development proposals by district council and staff, and to bring order, character, and consistency to the downtown core and its network of public spaces, sidewalks, parks, streets and parking lots.
