Cornelia Hahn Oberlander Landscape Architects 1995

Soon after this building opened in 1995 it received the distinction of being ‘one of the 10 best green buildings in North American’. ‘Tea’ from toilets, collected rainwater and water from the sinks, feeds into a grey water trench with native marsh vegetation purifing the water which is used for irrigation. The use of re-cycled paving material and low maintenance native plants are other features in this environmentally responsible landscape.
