1489 McCrae Avenue, Vancouver, BC

Morell & Nichols Landscape Architects - 1911

When this estate was completed, the garden included stables, a swimming pool, an Italian garden, a tea house, pergolas, statuary, and a children's playhouse. There were also extensive kitchen gardens on the site where Hycroft Towers are located today (the triangular space in the foreground of this photograph). The 5.5 acres of gardens were designed by landscape architects from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The architect for the mansion was Thomas Hooper.
