The Italian Gardens are part of a community driven re-greening project for Hastings Park , a 167 acre site that was used primarily as a fairground, racetrack and hockey arena until the redevelopment effort began in the early 1990’s. Features include this modern adaptation of a classic Italian garden complete with an opera walk, sculptures, a rain garden, fountains for play, and a skateboard park, bocce, basketball and tennis courts, and sports fields.
