Connect Landscape Architecture Inc. 2017

The 5-acre salt marsh restores coastal wetland habitat on the south shore of Burrard Inlet and supports the Park Board’s Strategic Plan, Rewilding Action Plan, and Biodiversity Strategy. The collaborative venture involved the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, along with the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. The regenerative ecosystem includes a habitat island, viewing platforms, trail network, biodiverse vegetation restoration, picnic area enhanced beach access, and off-leash dog park.
