Museum of Anthropology is an example of total integration of building and landscape. The building resembles a longhouse and is situated on a promontory overlooking the Straight of Georgia and the North Shore mountains. Meadows and mounds are seeded with indigenous grasses and wild flowers familiar to our native people, and used traditionally for tools, food and medicines thus extending the visitor’s museum experience to the out of doors.
