Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg 2008

CSLA Regional Citation Award 2009

Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg designed this public space for the underground Energy Centre in collaboration with Bunting Coady Architects. The development provides a natural buffer and transition zone for the residential neighbourhood, while remaining accessible to pedestrians in the VGH precinct, and providing service access to the power plant. The park includes spaces for prospect, refuge, observation and community interaction utilizing fastigiate trees, earthworks, and a kinetic art installation constructed with industrial materials.
