999 Canada Place, Vancouver
Cornelia Hahn Oberlander - 1986
As a link between the sea and the city Canada Harbour Place invites visitors to stroll along a promenade adjacent to plant material of the region. It was at this spot that Captain George Vancouver had his botanist Dr. Archibald Menzies record the plants that they saw on these shores in 1792. Today the same Shore Pine Pinus contorta contorta, and Kinnikinick Arctostaphylos uva ursi greet us and remind us of our link with history.
