The National Nikkei Heritage Centre celebrates the rich traditions of the Canadian born Japanese. The building has a contemporary architectural expression. The landscape is a fusion of traditional Japanese garden forms contained within a contemporary framework. Spaces have been provided for quiet contemplation and for cultural ceremonies.The construction was done by members of the Japanese Gardeners Association.
