As a new regional destination, this project demonstrates the recreation of a natural system and enhancement of salmon habitat through the creation of sheltered, brackish marsh along the Fraser River waterfront. This park legacy was designed in conjunction with the Skytrain Millennium Line and will provide an important green space connection along the proposed B.E.S.T. greenway from New Westminster to Vancouver ’s Downtown.
