The original seven public display gardens were designed by Harry Webb for Canadian Schenley Distilleries, and were opened to the public in 1969. They became a popular local attraction, and have since been incorporated into a prominent commerial development. Today, the gardens provide an ideal location for the Capilano College Horticulture students to gain practical experience, while they remain a popular destination for residents of North Vancouver and visitors alike
