Airport Station was designed and constructed ito provide much needed transfers between the Translink B-Line bus and the shuttle bus to the YVR Terminal. When it was closed in September 2009 after the opening of the Canada Line train, this transit loop had put in a decade of service. The design featured waiting areas, transit shelters, and an interpretive garden, with environmentally sustainable plantings and paving.
