POINT ELLICE PARK

387 Harbour Road, Victoria, BC

Small & Rossell Landscape Architects - 2009

This 2 ha waterfront park began with a reclamation project, and resulted in a new park for the City of Victoria. The landscape architect and marine biologist worked together to create both public space and wildlife habitat, while this portion of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail offers separated cycling and pedestrian zones, and forms the spine of this linear open space. A large propeller unearthed during construction provides the focal point for a small seating area.
